Working primarily in pastel and oil, Ronnie Offen enjoys painting everyday ordinary scenes, capturing people going about their daily lives.
She loves to paint beach scenes where the bright light and colorful umbrellas really catch her eye. In the same vein, she likes to paint chefs in action or performers on stage. The intense light on them provides nice value contrasts.
Ronnie received her BA in Art from Catholic University in D.C. Since then, she has continued her education with numerous artist workshops in both oil and pastel which allow her the freedom to experiment. She is a Member of Excellence of the Atlanta Artists Center and the Southeastern Pastel Society, a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a Master Circle Member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, as well as a member of the Atlanta Fine Arts League, Eastern League of Professional Painters and the Women Painters of the Southeast.
Ms. Offen has won various awards in the majority of the SPS shows which she has entered. She has also won awards in AAC and PSA shows as well as one from the Pastel Society of North Florida.
