Striving to paint emotion, I want to create the awe, the wonder, the experience we feel in nature, in music, in special life moments. That feeling that gives us pause.
There is a dialogue that develops between myself and the painting. As the layers of paint accumulate so does the meaning. Connections flow and coalesce into magical and mysterious combinations. These actions renew my spirit in the act of creation.
Atlanta-based artist Juanita Bellavance, usese her mastery of color and technique to create nature-inspired paintings that provide solace from life’s strife and turmoils. Her art is informed by her study of music and her connection to spirit.
