Ian Greathead

Born in New Zealand, Ian Greathead began his art career creating illustrations for the advertising industry. With a desire to explore the world, he traveled first to London, England, where he worked for a large advertising agency, then on to central New York where he created artwork for clients including General Electric, Carrier and Kodak. Following his move to Atlanta, Georgia, Ian continued working in advertising as a freelance illustrator while also exploring fine art as a career.

His paintings have been purchased by collectors and wineries from around the world with several pieces hanging in corporate collections in Napa Valley.

During his career, Ian has constantly challenged himself with new forms of art which has led to his latest interest in abstract art. He is currently working on a body of work for his galleries as well as collaborating with interior designers, creating unique paintings with a color palette designed for the home. Ian enjoys working with clients on private commissions creating original paintings which feature personal items. He has expanded his range to include scenes with themes featuring whiskey and other liquors, fine crystal, sports, poker, classic cars and more.
