Ed Cahill
Ed Cahill paints exclusively in oil. He feels that oil paint is a marvel that, with the right skill level, can do almost anything. Painting the local landscape is a favorite subject and it’s not unusual to see him on the side of the road or in a park.

“Painting is a key emotional outlet for me and I work every day to hone the skills that will allow me to express what I see as important and beautiful to those who view it. My best work portrays a whole experience in a way that the viewer can understand it. You can feel the cold damp air, smell the wet grass, hear the geese and squint from the glare. There is never enough time in a day for me, especially when I’m painting plein air. Most of my work, even my larger work, is done on site. I find an interesting area and research it thoroughly and I paint it again and again.” – Ed Cahill
