“My paintings are intimate views of nature. The purpose of this approach is to say slow down, look closely, there is a world of wonder right under your nose. I love the whimsical side of the animals I paint. Painting is an oasis for me and nourishment for my soul.”  Carolyn Ritter

After receiving her degree in art education from Auburn University, Carolyn began teaching in Georgia and Florida while taking workshops from nationally known artists. Her paintings and illustrations have been featured in national publications including the cover of the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and CatFancy magazine. The Georgia Department of Agriculture selected her painting of a retriever to appear on the state’s license plate. In addition, Carolyn created the large graphics for the CatSnip Project Spay Mobile for Atlanta Animal Alliance.
