It is my love of nature and plein air painting that inspires me to paint the landscape. The rich colors and pattern of light and shadow inspire me to work with both pastel and oil to paint the landscape. I like to use movement and texture to guide the viewer through the painting.
A native of Florida, I have always been passionate about art. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Fine Art. After moving to Atlanta in 1994 I earned a degree with honors in Art education from Kennesaw State University. I am an Artist and Art Instructor. I am a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society, the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance and the Atlanta Artist Center.
