Ronnie Offen received her early training in art from the Catholic University in her native Washington, D.C., afterwards studying Oriental brush painting (sumi-e). In her pastel work, she is known for variety of color, interesting lighting and intriguing scenes depicting people. Offen is a member of the National Sumi-e Society of America, the Southeastern Pastel Society and a merit member of the Atlanta Artists' Club.
